About
Broad experience with a consistent thread
My career has crossed insurance field inspection, statewide territory management, automotive service and equipment, corporate training, business and practice management, veterinary operations, agriculture, and hands-on repair. The industries have changed; the basic work has not: understand an unfamiliar situation, determine what matters, document it carefully, and communicate the result clearly.
Today I travel throughout Maine conducting independent residential and commercial property inspections for insurance carriers. The work requires physical observation, photography, identification of building characteristics and equipment, recognition of hazards or discrepancies, customer interaction, and standardized reporting for people who are not on site.

Physical-world AI field evaluation
A small pilot for ground truth outside the lab
The proposition is simple: give an experienced field professional a defined set of physical-world questions, a collection protocol, and evidence standards. I visit the location, observe what is actually present, and return structured photographic, observational, measurement-based, or equipment-specific evidence where authorized.
That evidence can be compared with an AI system's answer, visual interpretation, online information, or generated instructions. The useful result is not agreement with the model; it is reliable ground truth, including cases where reality contradicts the initial assumption.

Coastal and rural Maine offer varied real-world conditions: older buildings, seasonal operations, tourism infrastructure, ferries and islands, rural roads, changing access conditions, transportation infrastructure, and variable connectivity.
